Area 12 Incident Command Structure (expanded info on EC's, Asst EC's, etc.,  for ARES Area 12.  Click Here       REPEATER BACK ON AIR! If you have been following the soggy saga of the Lenoir ARC/Caldwell County ARES Repeater, formerly located on 147.195 Mhz (now assigned to Alexander County) , you know that it is now back on the air!  The rejuvenated, retuned, refurbished, & recoordinated repeater is now on 146.625 . At present, it does not have tone-access...but if one bcomes necessary in the future, it will be 94.8 Mhz.  The repeater, signing "N4NIN" is located just northwest of Lenoir toward Collettesville and is running 20 watts at the present time.  A mobile test from Lenoir to the Hickory Mall allowed communication almost all the way, even on I-40...severe dips in the path from Granite Falls and on through the Catawba River basin being the only serious nulls.  More mobile tests will be made shortly to more fully "map out" the repeater's coverage. The repeater is an "open" repeater and users in and around our area are encouraged to use it...courtesy & responsi- bility in its use being the only mandate. Next
